Private, offline AI running locally on business hardware

Local AI Services for Waterford Businesses

Run AI on your own computers — privately, offline, and without a single piece of client data ever leaving your premises.

Chances are, someone on your team is already using ChatGPT — to draft a letter, summarise a document, or speed up admin. It's genuinely useful. It's also a real problem the moment client, patient, or customer information gets pasted into it, because that information is now sitting on a third-party server you have no control over.

There's a better way. Open-weight AI models can run entirely on your own hardware — no internet connection required to use them, nothing ever sent anywhere. I assess your setup, get a private AI model running on your machines, configure it for how your business actually works, and train your team to use it properly.

What's Included

This isn't just an install. It's everything needed to get your team actually using AI safely, day to day.

Hardware & Model Assessment

An honest look at what your existing computers can run at usable speed, and which model actually fits your use case — no upsold hardware you don't need.

Private, Offline Setup

Configured so no client data ever touches the internet — the actual selling point for anyone with GDPR or confidentiality obligations, not just a technical nicety.

Training & Usage Guidance

Simple written guidance and a hands-on training session, so your team actually adopts it — rather than quietly going back to ChatGPT out of habit.

Why Keep It Local?

  • Confidentiality & GDPR

Client, patient, and customer data never leaves your building — removing a real exposure most businesses are currently carrying without realising it.

  • Time Back Every Week

First-pass drafting, document summaries, and research triage handled faster. Even 2–3 hours saved per week per person, at a typical billable rate, adds up to thousands of euro of reclaimed time per year across a small team.

  • No Ongoing Subscription

A one-off setup competes well against paying €20–30 per user, per month, indefinitely for a commercial AI subscription.

  • Not Dependent on Any Provider

Once it's set up, the AI runs on your own machines — it keeps working regardless of another company's pricing changes, policy changes, or service availability.

Who This Is For

Any local business across Waterford City, Tramore, and Carrick-on-Suir can use this, but it matters most where confidentiality is part of the job — solicitors, accountants, healthcare providers, financial services, and anyone else handling sensitive client, patient, or customer information day to day. If your team is already reaching for ChatGPT to save time, this gets you the same time savings without the exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is "local AI" and how is it different from ChatGPT?

Local AI means running an open-weight AI model directly on your own computer or server, instead of sending your questions and documents to a company's servers over the internet. It works offline, and nothing you type into it — client details, contracts, correspondence — ever leaves your premises. Tools like ChatGPT are the opposite: every prompt is sent to a third-party server, which is exactly what makes it unsuitable for confidential business data.

Will any of my business or client data leave my building?

No. The whole point of a local setup is that the AI model runs entirely on your own hardware, with no internet connection required to use it. Nothing you or your staff type into it is sent anywhere, stored on a third-party server, or used to train anyone else's model.

Can the AI look at my files or check something online?

By default, everything stays fully offline. For Practice Package clients, I can add an optional custom plugin that lets the AI search your own files or look up a specific webpage on request. This is opt-in, one-directional, and doesn't change the core privacy setup — your client data itself is never sent anywhere; the AI is just fetching something you've asked it to.

What kind of computer do I need?

It depends on the model and how you plan to use it. Many modern business laptops can run a capable model at usable speed; some setups benefit from a hardware upgrade first. Assessing what your existing machines can handle — and recommending an upgrade only if it's genuinely needed — is part of the initial consultation, before any setup work or spend happens.

Is this only useful for solicitors, or can any local business use it?

Any business can benefit, but it matters most where confidentiality is part of the job — solicitors, accountants, healthcare and financial services, or any business handling sensitive client, patient, or customer data. If your staff are already pasting business information into ChatGPT to save time, a private local setup gives you the same time savings without the exposure.

Do you offer support after the initial setup?

Yes. Setup is a one-off project, but most clients take an ongoing support retainer for updates, troubleshooting, and swapping in better models as they're released — so the setup keeps working well rather than being left to go stale.

Is the initial consultation free?

Yes. The initial call is done by phone or video, free and no-obligation, to understand your business and whether local AI is a good fit. If your hardware needs checking in person, that's a small fixed fee, credited against your project cost if you go ahead — so genuine clients never pay any more than the project price.

Do you only serve Waterford City, or the wider area too?

I'm based in Portlaw, Co. Waterford, and work with businesses across Waterford City, Tramore, Carrick-on-Suir, and the wider South East. Setup is done on-site or remotely depending on what suits you.
